How can dentistry benefit your whole health?

Aside from the well-documented correlations between good oral health and strong bodies, We have a lot to thank our healthy smiles for. Healthy mouths enable us to get a good night's sleep and eat a nutritious diet. In good health, we can speak clearly or even express ourselves completely without uttering a single peep. Smiling brightly is a universal sign of peace and friendship that connects us all. When our oral health suffers, we miss it. Unaddressed oral health problems don’t just hurt, they make us feel isolated and weigh heavily on us emotionally.

Physical Health

This is the first one everyone thinks of. Having a toothache is a notoriously painful experience and may be a precursor to a dangerous infection. Physical health also includes the rest of you. Do you get frequent headaches or jaw pain? Is your bite comfortable? Many of the services we recommend are intended to be proactive and maintain your physical health to avoid future pain, discomfort and expense.

Emotional Health

How do you feel about your smile? Is there anything thing about it that weighs on your mind? Do you ever feel self-conscious about your smile? Your emotional well being is also important and we’re here to help. Share your thoughts with us and find out what your options are.

Mental Health

For some people, the prospect of visiting the dentist causes anxiety that’s so fierce it even rivals a toothache! If you suffer from dental anxiety or you’re stressing out about an impending visit or oral health problem let us know! There may be things we can do to help. Let’s get you past this.

Creating a personalized treatment plan

There’s one thing all of our services have in common and that's creating a treatment plan for you that captures all of your needs and goals, lays out all of your options and keeps you educated and informed during your treatment. It’s our intention to empower you with any information you need to make the best final decision and feel confident about your outcome. Your experience will always include the following elements:

Share with us

Tell us about your concerns or ask us about anything you’re curious about. We’re here to listen and to answer any questions you have about your oral health and the treatment options available. It’s important for us to know what your goals are and what your vision is for your ideal smile.

Hear all your options

After sharing all of your thoughts and concerns and with a completed initial examination your dentist will be able to list out the different options available for achieving your goal along with the pros and cons of each and our final recommendations. Everything will be explained clearly so that you can make the best choice for your needs.

The final say is yours

We will never start a procedure or treatment without your complete understanding and explicit consent. You have the final say in any treatment and we will work with you to accommodate your schedule so that it suits your busy lifestyle and your budget. We have your best interests at heart and are here to serve you.

Contact us today

to schedule an initial consultation & exam.

Your consultation will include an examination of everything from your teeth, gums and soft tissues to the shape and condition of your bite. Generally, we want to see how your whole mouth looks and functions. Before we plan your treatment we want to know everything about the health and aesthetic of your smile, and, most importantly, what you want to achieve so we can help you get there.

I have had severe dental anxiety my whole life and needed work done after 7 years of not being seen. Dr. Butler was recommended to me by a friend and I’m glad I took the recommendation. Everyone at the office is patient, affirming and gentle. I was supported before my first appt began and indicating I had high anxiety wasn’t missed. I appreciate that their office intake process is mindful of your intake survey after such bad experiences with dentists who brushed right over my anxiety before going on to make it worse. The first time I came in they allowed me to do a gentle intake where no work was done, to talk through my concerns and options before prescribing me something I could take for future appts to help get myself back to the office. I have always felt heard when presenting my concerns and have never been made to feel embarrassed or ashamed for being afraid which for those struggling with anxiety can be the worst part. I’ve now been back 4 times to get all my work done and the staff know my name now and follow up with me. It generally feels like the staff at Dr. Butler care and truly stand by their expertise as an office specializing in dental anxiety. As I’m writing this review also celebrating that I felt safe enough to come here by myself for the first time. It may not be needed for everyone but if dental anxiety has kept you away like it has for me. This is the right place for you to go.

The doctor did a comprehensive exam after a clerical error said I was meant to only have a short exam, the tech was kind and also very thorough. The front desk staff were pleasant and went out of their way to make sure I got accurate estimates without accidentally tripping my insurance company into thinking I’d had the work done already and used up my benefits. They were easily willing to do estimates for two different treatment options for me. I was able to get in for a new patient exam and for my long treatment appointment within a really reasonable time frame. I’m very happy with this whole office. I would recommend them.

I thought the Dental Hygenist was outstanding. She was 23 years old (Didn’t get her name) but she did some extra steps that ensured my teeth were clean and unstained.
