I have had severe dental anxiety my whole life and needed work done after 7 years of not being seen. Dr. Butler was recommended to me by a friend and I’m glad I took the recommendation. Everyone at the office is patient, affirming, and gentle.

I was supported before my first appt began, and indicating I had high anxiety wasn’t missed. I appreciate that their office intake process is mindful of your intake survey after such bad experiences with dentists who brushed right over my anxiety before going on to make it worse.

The first time I came in, they allowed me to do a gentle intake where no work was done, to talk through my concerns and options before prescribing me something I could take for future appts to help get myself back to the office. I have always felt heard when presenting my concerns and have never been made to feel embarrassed or ashamed for being afraid, which, for those struggling with anxiety, can be the worst part.

I’ve now been back 4 times to get all my work done, and the staff know my name now and follow up with me. It generally feels like the staff at Dr. Butler's office care and truly stand by their expertise as an office specializing in dental anxiety. As I’m writing this review also celebrating that I felt safe enough to come here by myself for the first time. It may not be needed for everyone, but if dental anxiety has kept you away like it has for me, this is the right place for you to go.

They were amazing from the moment that I called to get set up with a new dentist to getting me seen the very next day. I had a dental emergency and they got me an appointment the very next day and from the moment I walked into the office they were extremely nice helpful and it was such an easy process. I had completed all my medical forms before the appointment and got seen right away and they took care of my tooth. Absolutely love the dentist and her assistant they explained everything and were very considerate and knowledgeable.

First visit here! Super Friendly, professional, and non-judgmental!! I will be bringing my family here from now on!!

I was able to schedule my visit via email, which is great for me. Staff were very sweet, the hygienist was thorough and gentle, and Dr. Butler was efficient but friendly and explained everything clearly. Everyone was masked and following COVID safety protocols. Highly recommend!

These professionals are great. Being an older gent, I am prone to forgetting, so when I didn't wake up for my appointment time, they called, woke me up, and said come on over -- "We'll get you in!" It's hard to find medical/dental professionals who are willing to go that extra mile. Kudos!!!!

This has been our dental experience since we moved to Eugene in 1987. The transition between dentists was seamless. The dental experience has remained excellent.

Dr. Butler and his staff are awesome! I had a cavity filled and a small cosmetic chip fixed and he did great. Highly recommend.

I went to Butler Family Dental for the first time today and they were great. I’d been putting off seeing the dentist for a few years after retirement and finding a new dentist was intimidating. They made everything so easy from scheduling the appointment to the ease of filling out the paperwork online. Dr. Ayala is so friendly and explained everything thoroughly in the treatment plan so I am comfortable moving forward with the plan. I highly recommend Butler Family Dental to anyone looking for a new dentist!

Everyone I met on my first visit to the office were more than happy to make me at ease and to alleviate any anxiety I had going to a new dentist. Dr. Chris was very gentle and explained everything he was going to do. I will definitely be going back for all my dental needs in the future.

Words I thought I would never say… I love my dentist!! I love Butler Family Dental because there is no judgment, no pressure, and no negative experiences. I have always felt pressured by other dentist for additional treatments and judgment for refusing. There has never been a time at Butler were I have felt pressured to do anything and my last fillings were quick and pain free. I recommend them to everyone I meet!

Everyone is friendly and professional. They work hard to make my experience good and I have bad anxiety about the dentist.

The doctor did a comprehensive exam after a clerical error said I was meant to only have a short exam, and the tech was kind and also very thorough. The front desk staff were pleasant and went out of their way to make sure I got accurate estimates without accidentally tripping my insurance company into thinking I’d had the work done already and used up my benefits. They were easily willing to do estimates for two different treatment options for me. I was able to get in for a new patient exam and for my long treatment appointment within a really reasonable time frame. I’m very happy with this whole office. I would recommend them.

Friendly staff, appointment started on time, hygienist and dentist were thorough and thoughtful, very clean environment, teeth feel smooth and clean. They also have a dental plan for those without insurance.

Totally the best dental experience for me! From the Front Desk to the Doctor, Hygienist, Assistants, and the Art on the walls, I would recommend you check them out. I'm 70, so I have had a few experiences to compare them to. Just go visit and decide for yourself.

Lovely people work here!! Caring and patient with me. Starting with the receptionist Chloe, all the way thru.. They listened to me and heard my issues and my fears. I had a broken front tooth and was totally embarrassed....They accessed the situation. Gave me their professional opinion and we moved forward. The young dentist when administering my Novocain was so gentle that I barely knew she was giving the shot. My new front temporary tooth looks AMAZING! I will use Butler Family practice for all of my Dental Needs from here forward. Thank you.
